About the Laurentians
The province of Quebec’s Laurentians region is a year-round
recreational area. Located just north of Montreal this beautiful
region offers a wide variety of activities, abundant lakes, mountains,
rivers and valleys, a full range of accommodations and some of the
world’s best resorts, restaurants and bars.
The
Laurentians are an ancient chain of mountains, as well as a region
of Quebec where you can find an assortment of activities. The scenery
in the fall is ablaze with red, orange and yellow leaves. Winter
is renowned for skiing and spring brings with it the tradition of
going to the sugar shack. Spring and summer in the Laurentians are
an excellent time to enjoy the wilderness; where you can hear loons
calling in the early morning and see glimpses of deer just inside
the forest.
The quaint villages nestled in the mountain valleys provide for
great shopping and après-ski. Mont-Tremblant Park is Quebec’s
largest provincial park and its golf and ski resorts are considered
to be among the best in eastern North America. The Mont Tremblant
Resort along with Saint-Sauveur, Sainte-Adele and Sainte-Agathe
all boast five-star restaurants and great nightlife to go along
with the phenomenal skiing conditions.
Activities
Camping, canoeing, fishing, golfing, white water rafting, cross-country
skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing are some of the recreational
activities that you can enjoy in the wilderness of the Laurentians.
Whether you prefer the arts, culture, nature, or outdoor adventure,
you will be pleasantly satisfied with what the Laurentians have
to offer.

Laurentians Real Estate
Owning real estate in the Laurentians brings all of these activities
closer to home. There are many ownership options in the area including
forested land, houses, cottages, condos, fixer-uppers or new buildings,
each with their own advantages. There are many investment opportunities
for buyers, including the option of owning a property for a number
of years then selling it off at a much higher price. Or others may
prefer to rent out their house or cottage for part of the year for
some extra income or to help pay off the investment costs.
The biggest advantage of buying in the Laurentians from an investment
and home-owner’s point of view is the availability of lakefront
real estate in an area that is still close to the services of nearby
towns and cities. This asset is becoming more and more difficult
to find.
